Canadians feel so chronically overlooked in pop culture, they have to resort to crediting Canadian exports at every opportunity they get. They can name almost every celebrity with roots in Canada, whether they were born there, or just passed through. So it's only natural that when everyone around the world was buzzing about Barbie, Canadians were only focused on Ken. That's because the two standout Kens from the world's biggest movie—Ryan Gosling and Simu Liu—were both proudly Canadian.


That left the world asking: What is it about Canadians that makes them such good...Kenadians? On the press tour, Ryan Gosling gave his answer: "Tim Hortons" - Canada's biggest and most prolific coffee and donut brand. So, with just two days until the premiere, we had no choice but to actively engage Kenadians and make them feel included in the Barbie craze using Ken's favourite accessory: Tim Hortons' coffee.


So, in the 48 hours between Ryan Gosling's comment and the Barbie premiere, we took Tims coffee -- the embodiment of the Canadian experience -- and turned it into the embodiment of the KENadian experience, honouring every Canadian named Ken, or Kendra, or Kenny, or Kendall, and more with a free Tims Coffee.
